GWO BASIC TECHNICAL TRAINING

COURSE OVERVIEW

A GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) Package consists of all three mandatory GWO courses being delivered together over four consecutive days including:

• GWO BTT Mechanical
• GWO BTT Hydraulic
• GWO BTT Electrical



COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants completing a GWO Basic Technical Training Package will be able to:

• Perform basic wind turbine generator hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical tasks under the supervision of an experienced technician.

PACKAGE CONTENT

A GWO Basic Technical Training Package includes;

1. GWO BTT Mechanical – Solve basic mechanical tasks responsibly by using safe working procedures and the correct PPE. Includes mechanical concepts and specialized wind energy tool usage and instruction.
2. GWO BTT Electrical – Solve basic electrical tasks responsibly by using safe working procedures and the correct PPE. Includes introductory electrical principles and electrical systems within the wind sector.
3. GWO BTT Hydraulic - Solve basic hydraulic tasks responsibly by using safe working procedures and the correct PPE. Includes basic operating principles of fluid power systems, interpretation of diagrams, and hydraulic systems within a wind turbine generator.

PREREQUISITES

In order to complete a GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) course participants must be registered to WINDA before arriving for the course.
